Our Story

Our Concept

Much like the Jackdaw, the O'Reilly family migrated from Ireland in the mid 1800's to the US on the ship Anne McLester to New Orleans, then traveled by steamship up the Mississippi and found a home in Missouri. They continue to make their home all over the country with roots that run deep and curious wings unafraid to soar to the next place.

Whether your landing is a chance encounter, or we know your name and favorite chair, it's always a delight to see you here. Come in, stay awhile and take stories of the Jackdaw with you.

The Jackdaw

Jackdaws are the smallest member of the crow family (collectively known as corvids), which includes ravens, crows, rooks, jays, and magpies.

Jackdaws love people, probably because they love eye contact. Their curiosity, attraction to shiny objects, and ability to learn make them fun to watch. Jackdaws recognize human faces and can even respond to human expressions!

Like most of their cousins, jackdaws are just as much at home in farmlands and woodlands, as they are in urban landscapes. The latter is thanks to their adaptability and intelligence.

Wherever the Jackdaw lands, it’s home!
